Suzy listed and sold my house in Chatham NJ. The first time that Suzy saw the house, she saw the potential in the 100-year-old Victorian. She outlined a clear plan for the steps necessary to get the house ready for sale. She understood that in a market where the typical buyer is cautious and wants a finished product, that she would have to emphasize the unique charms of an older house. She helped coordinate with painters, stagers, landscapers, electricians, plumbers, and others to completely update and brighten the look of the house. She has great relationships with these workers and was fantastic at focusing on their work to get the maximum benefit in the most cost-efficient way. I liked the fact that she felt an emotional attachment to the house and emphasized work that brought out its character and improved its value. She was in no way interested in just cosmetic changes that were transparent to cautious buyers. She was a constant presence at the house making sure that the work was done well and promptly. With the house ready to go on the market, Suzy developed a clear sales plan. She was able to communicate a vision for the special attributes of the house. She enlisted an architect to help describe to potential buyers some renovation options to further enhance the value of the house. She priced the house effectively so that we soon were in negotiations with a buyer. She did a great job of keeping the negotiations smooth and moving forward once a price had been agreed to and inspection issues had been resolved. Overall, selling a house, especially an old one in the current market, is a challenging and emotional undertaking. Suzy was eternally upbeat and energetic in working through the process. Her integrity was obvious and invaluable in completing the transaction. She is both supportive and realistic and those are essential qualities in selling any product, but especially a unique one, in a difficult market. I just wish there was an option to give a realtor 6 stars.

We remember the day we decided to make Millburn our home and visited an open house in the area. We met Suzy in the open house for the first time and got comfortable with discussing the must-haves in the house we were looking for. Suzy was very much interested in knowing our list despite gauging the fact that we did not like the house we entered for an open house. It was a cold day and the day was shorter but much to our surprise Suzy was ready to show us a property that she thought we would like (of course after knowing the must-haves we discussed). We killed 2 hours and parked our car outside of the house Suzy wanted to show us. The moment we entered the house, we loved the vibe and tons of natural light in it. It surely was the one we would have considered buying, Suzy paid attention to our list of must-haves with a 100% interest in helping us get the right one and calling it home. To cut the story short; we finally bought the house and we love it. Our kid (a 4-year-old boy) loves it a lot. Suzy helped us make the process very smooth. She was always present to answer questions and work together to get the roadblocks away. We truly enjoyed the experience of buying a new house in the area which was yet to be explored. Would recommend Suzy to anyone who is looking for properties with a list in hand and confusion on where to start and how to go about it. Thank you very much, Suzy and Maggee Miggins group for helping us on the journey to our home.

Suzy Minken is an outstanding professional who always sees the inherent beauty in a home. She has an instinctual understanding of floor plan design, which she combines with her excellent marketing talent when listing a home for sale. I have worked with Suzy on numerous projects for sellers, builders, and buyers and I am always impressed with her wonderful talent to see beyond an existing footprint and envision what is needed to enhance a home’s marketability. Whether a home needs just a few tweaks (e.g. adding a bathroom) or an addition (e.g. creating a family room), Suzy is spot on with her design recommendations and enjoys “rolling up her sleeves” in the creative process. Suzy Minken is that “rare find” and if you are looking to buy or sell (or renovate and flip) a home, I highly recommend her.

For the past several years I have worked with Suzy Minken on a good number of home renovations and sales. She is the consummate professional in all aspects of renovation projects. From finding the right home, advising in every step of the renovation and once completed in staging, marketing and ultimately selling. Suzy treats my money as if it were her own in that she knows where and when to spend and where and when to save. I trust her judgment completely. I could not recommend her more strongly whether one is buying or selling a home.

Wonderful experience with Suzy during the normal stressful activities of selling a house. She is an extraordinary professional and knows every aspect of the marketplace and every small detail to ensure a successful house sale. I had 4 offers within 48 hours of the open house and sold for over the asking price. I would advise anyone in the realty market to partner with Suzy for either the house purchase or sale. Made the experience as positive as could be. Total professional and a lovely warm individual.

My husband and I had the privilege of working with Suzy to buy our first home. It was great working with her given her extensive knowledge about the community and her responsiveness to all of our questions. She even went above and beyond for us during the offer/bidding process by helping create a letter for the buyer that highlighted why we should have the house. We recommend working with the Maggee Miggins Group and look forward to working with them in the future.
